A scribe is often referred to as a record keeper. Someone who records historical literature and legal documents — I have always wanted to be a story teller. When I was younger, I would listen to the older men at the local Bojangles tell their stories of being young and wild. I was fascinated with how vividly they described their lives. As I grew older, I would see my elders at the family reunion telling the history of our family and how mischievous my dad was! After my grandparents passed, however, the family reunions stopped. Those stories were no longer told. I found myself wishing I could hear those stories just one more time. To hear their voice and see their smiles as they recalled those fond memories. That’s when I had the idea to start a company that captured the very thing I wished I had. Now I’m dedicating my professional life towards helping others capture key moments in their lives. I aim to make my wish come true by helping others record their legacy and that is why I started Scribe Productions and how I created ‘The Legacy Series.’
